About Gretchen & Ally
We are Gretchen and Ally – two women who are out to change aging in America.
Back in the summer of 2013, a walk after our kids went to bed became a conversation about what we really wanted out of life. To be loving wives and moms and friends and daughters. To continue to grow emotionally and spiritually. To live without worry about money or health issues as we age.
Oh, and to understand why aging women are viewed so negatively by society! Why is that wellness and beauty for older women means menopause advice? Why is it that the older we get, the less valued we are? How come our choices are the ingénue or the crone? We don’t feel that way and neither do any of our friends.
The more we got to know each other, the more we shared creative and practical ideas. Gretchen is a medical industry professional who is passionate about physical health, emotional well-being, and intellectual pursuits. Ally is a CPA and feels the same sense of passion for achieving financial independence and creating flexibility in your life.
Lots of women have the same conversations we had on those walks after bedtime. And somewhere between conversations about the microbiome and Miss Piggy as a feminist icon, we decided we wanted to connect people. We believe that what you know shouldn’t be limited to who you know.
A Clever Girl Would share her wit, wisdom, and grace with others. A Clever Girl Would engage intellectually and spiritually. A Clever Girl Would age EXACTLY how she wants into her 70s and live a life of joy.
Ally has a career in finance and is a mother to three young children.
Her irreverent sense of humor, love of the finer things in life, and desire to be a good friend have often gotten her into trouble.
A well-timed note on Crane stationery and a bottle of wine usually gets her out of it.
It Sounds Pretentious (and it Might Be) But We Dig It

People who are witty, listening to Gretchen’s dosha, admitting when we hate things, flossing our teeth, when our skin is pretty, paying for services we don’t want to do, Amazon Prime, ironed and scented sheets, rituals, champagne cocktails, meditation, and pets who know the rules(but choose to ignore them).
